Internet Pictures

When searching for a picture, everyone should make sure they don't end up infringing on copyright laws. To make sure you don't violate these laws, one should always try to use pictures from websites that offer free pictures. Another thing one can do is after putting the picture on your webpage, make sure to cite the website where it was originally located. One thing that is nice is that if the picture is for academic use, it is not necessary to cite the picture because it is clear that it is not being used for a profit or gain. Lastly, if you ever have any questions or are worried that a copy right law may be being broken, then cite it just in case.

You should always cite the source of your pictures or information, regardless of if you are going to publish the work or not. If you are going to publish, you have to get permission from the creator of the work. Also, Creative Commons provides an alternative to traditional copyrights, with the “some rights reserved” copyright.
